Hi Sandra,
Joseph Blease (1863-1915) was my great grandfather.
Until fairly recently I knew very little regarding his death in 1915.
I found a newspaper report stating that he was killed on sentry duty at Basingstoke Station.
Further research pointed me to Bank Quay railway station in Warrington, where I was informed that there was a plaque in the station with names of railway workers killed in WW1.
Unfortunately, I could not locate the plaque.
I also looked at the Cenotaph in Warrington for his name with no success.
I may have contacted the War Graves Commission, but cannot remember.
Not been on Rootschat for a few years, and only came across your posting by accident.

Just had a look at the CWGC and I did indeed contact them in 2020.
Turns out that as I was a "Guest" on the "The Great War (1914-1918) Forum, 4th Battalion South Lancashire Regiment" website, I could not be contacted.
Now joined and posted a screenshot of acceptance by War Graves Commission.
