Title: McBride Family, Drumbeg
Post by: allister1964 on Wednesday 01 May 24 19:05 BST (UK)
My distant relative, James McBride (b: 1882) married Marion McKenzie in 1909. They had two sons:
James Henderson McBride (b: 1909) and Noel McBride (b: 1910), both in Drumbeg. Does anyone know about the lives and possible descendants of James or Noel?

Look at the following burial records:

A newspaper death notice for Noel does not indicate marriage, it confirms that he was (by then) the only child of James and Marion and that the funeral was from his father's house. There is a second death notice from a 'friend' named Violet Wilson who calls him 'my loved one' - I'm guessing maybe a girlfriend.

As Gaffy has found, the image shows that James Henderson McBride died on 7 May 1917. However there appears to be no death record on IrishGenealogy.ie. GRONI Online is also down at the moment so unable to check for a death record.

James and Marion McBride are both buried in Belfast City Cemetery (plot I 158).
