Hi.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me what Medal goes with this ribbon. I've searched the Web and can't find anything. I'm puzzled.
-
Can you date it at all ?
The roughest of estimates to its age could perhaps help.
-
Looks like it has been sun-bleached?
Is it blue/red/orange/blue or blue/red/blue?
Was the likely recipient in Army, Navy or Air Force?
Was he British?
-
Is it certain that the ribbon is for a medal?
There is a resemblance to the stretch bracelet below:

Could also be a piece of striped Petersham ribbon, as used in millinery and handicrafts.
-
I checked in a book I have - "Medal Yearbook 2000", which has some colour plates of ribbons.
Can't see a match?

Thanks all for your comments
I do have two unofficial medals.
5th Army: Medal of the Entrance of Allied Armies in Naples 1st Oct 45
8th Army: Medal of Entrance of British Army in Italy 10 Jul 1943
l'm thinking the ribbon could of gone with one of these.

5th Army was an American Force.

8th Army, being a British & Commonwealth Force would have been awarded the Africa Star.
Ribbon for Africa Star was buff, with a broad red central stripe, dark blue stripe on the left, light blue stripe on the right.

Good evening,
A bit faded but I would say that is the Waterloo medal.
