Title: My Great Great Grandfather Elias Elias
Post by: keithjd27 on Monday 22 April 24 21:00 BST (UK)
Greetings Nice People,
I am trying to find the Family of Elias Elias born in 1790 in Penbryn.
I know he moved to Rhymney when he was about 18 and married soon after.
I don't know what happened to his parents and siblings after he left.
If anyone knows where the church records for that area are kept or anything
of the farms around that area about that time or can aim me in the right direction
  I would very grateful.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to help. I am coming to the area the week
  of 6th May hunting information.
I also am still looking for information about Aberffrwd between 1880 and 1900 because
that was my Grandmother (Mary Elias ) met my Grandfather (David Davies ) while
she was working as a maid in one of the big houses and he was working on a farm
Thanks again and take care - kind regards - Keith Davies

Mary Elias

Aberffrwd, Monmouthshire is 1 miles (2 Km) W of Llan-arth / Llanarth, Monmouthshire.  This is measured directly between the two points 'as the crow flies' ignoring any geographical features such as rivers or hills.

https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/MON/Llanarth

There is also Aberffrwd in Cardiganshire.

Hello Nice People,
Thank you all for your help . I will try to answer the points you have raised as they
come up on my screen.
Carole W - Yes, This is my Family - Daniel was my Great Grandfather.
With regard to Rhymney being in Caerphilly what I have found is that Admin areas
etc. are a bit vague. My one advantage is I've found out that a lot of them are
buried in Soar-Y-Graig cemetery. I'm going there on the 6thMay.
Graham Simons - Yes, I think you are right so I am going on to Aberystwyth to see what
I can find.
omega 1 - It seems all roads lead to Aberystwyth.
Cas - Thank you so much - I didn't realise how useful GENUKI really is and what you did
for me has been a great help.
Thanks to you Nice People I am better prepared for my week long scavenger hunt in Wales.
Take care all - Kind regards - Keith
