Post by: smeghead on Wednesday 10 April 24 19:43 BST (UK)
Hi
does anyone know if I can view the 1939 register individually with out paying a subscription and pay a one off fee to view the record to ancestry or find my past ? I just need to view one record

Your local library will probably have free access to Ancestry

On FindMyPast, you can search for free and buy individual records. A 1939 image costs £1.50. You can get other records and newspaper pages 50p-£1.50 each. You can also work out a lot for free before you buy. Includes 1921 census too, £3.50 each image.
