Title: Naturalisation Revoked
Post by: limehouse79 on Friday 05 April 24 12:00 BST (UK)
My german ancestor became a naturalised British citizen in 1896.  He returned to Germany in 1909 and in 1925 the naturalisation was revoked - notice in the London Gazette.  Does anyone know what information the 1925 document would contain - would it be worth obtaining it from the National Archives at Kew?

It appears to be:
"Reason: Absence from and Severance of connection with the United Kingdom" (S.7.(2) (d).)

It falls under the "British Nationality and Status of Aliens Act, 1914-1922".
