Any info on Frances 'Frankie' Biagi nee Mclaughlin. B 1924 St Pancras, London. D 1987 London. Spouse - Guglielmo 'Willie' Biagi. B 24/9/23 Kilmarnock, Scotland. D 1974 London. M 1961 Hammersmith, London.
We think Frances' parents came from Ireland?
I am researching for my cousin - their son, who was born in 1969 and knows little of his mother's side. I have the father's side (the Biagi's) fully documented.
-
Do you have her fathers name and occupation from that marriage
-
Regret not. I have no info other than that given. Not a lot, I know.
-
The only death I can find for a Frances Biagi occurred in 2016?:

Is this a different Frances?
Queenie :)
EDIT: Death index gives this lady a year of birth of 1935.
-
That is definitely a different Frances. Sorry, I was completely wrong with that statement.
-
But this lady's obituary states that the shop ceased trading in 1974, which is when William Biagi died. It seems incredible that there are 2 ???
I can't find a death registration for another Frances Biagi.
Queenie :)

B 1924 St Pancras, London
No birth on freebmd. Where did you get her birthyear from?
-
Do you (or your cousin) have Frances' death certificate?
Queenie :)
-
I can't see a death for her either Queenie, just the recent one :)

I am looking at your cousin's tree (SB) on Ancestry, and it gives her birth date as 5th July 1934 in Glasgow, and her death date as in the obituary I linked.
I imagine your cousin has the correct dates?
Queenie :)

Wrong spelling of surname

I found her death and birth on Family Search; the son confirms the date. We have no certificates at the moment. I have given him the Family Search info and suggested he get them.

Can you please share the link for the records on FamilySearch please.
Also, why is your cousin's tree giving completely different information ???

There was a will for the 2016 death
BIAGI FRANCES
Died 22 January 2016
Probate 23 January 2017
4994055 PROBATE London

That's a good question. Maybe I have some duff info.
I am going out in a minute. But I will post the Family search links tomorrow. And do a double-check with the son on the birth info.
Thank you.

Firstly, an apology from me. The info I gave in the first post was all wrong.
The Times obituary notice is indeed for the right person. So Frances' death was in 2016. Her maiden name was spelt McLoughlin (not with an 'a'), according to the marriage registration.
If my death info was wrong, then I suspect the birth could equally be wrong.
Guglielmo had a previous wife - Maureen Mary Hollywood. Perhaps the dates I had referred to her?

Her son's tree gives her birthdate as 5th July 1934, her birthplace as Glasgow and her parents as Francis McLaughlin and Catherine Shallow. I assume that her son would have the correct information, although it would be a good idea to confirm it with him.
If I were you, I would consider closing this thread and starting a new one with the correct information on the Scotland board, where you will find people with more specialist knowledge. I would also include a link to the closed thread in your post, so people can see what has already been found.
Queenie :)
P.S. To close a thread, I usually click 'lock topic', which is located at the bottom of the page.

Has her son obtained a copy of Frances’s birth cert as Scottish certs give both parents names plus mothers maiden name?
If the parents married in Scotland then their marriage cert will give their ages plus both sets of parents names plus mothers maiden names
If Frances was born 1934 - depending on when her parents married & their ages at that time - you may be able to find them on either the Scottish or Irish 1911 census
I am surprised that the birthyear & birthplace info on Frances in your opening post varies so much from her son’s info

Thank you for the help Queenie. And yes, I agree.
