thanks Shaun no medical report as far as i know This was a 17 year old male who died at home in 1858 his father registered the death and no record of an RCE

Have you checked for newspaper reports? A lot of people drowned while bathing in river or sea in those days. What is the surname?

Surname is Gordon and it was in Montrose not checked newspapers
