Hi
Im helping a friend out with her family tree. In her tree her ancestor is Daniel Lynch who married Mary Blair on 25 May 1848 in Monk-Wearmouth, Durham, England. Ive got Daniel in the 1851,61 and 81 census in Durham.
In the 1851 census he says he was born in West Minster; St Giles in 1826 and he is a Cordwainer
IN the 1861 census London, Middlesex, England he is a dairyman
In the 81 census London, London, Middlesex, England and he is a boltmaker.
Can anyone find his birth in London? or where he was in the 1841 census?
Birth about 1826
Death 23 DEC 1890 • 22 Nile Street, Sunderland, Durham, England

If you have his 1848 marriage record hopefully it'll give Daniel's father's name and occupation, in order to narrow down his London birth details.
Here's an 1841 census record with various people named Linch in St Giles in the Fields.

Here's an 1841 census record with various people named Linch in St Giles in the Fields. Probably unrelated and just a red herring.

Is there an image for the 1848 marriage record on Ancestry? If not, you can order the record from the GRO:
https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/
ADDED: There's an 1826 RC baptism in Soho Square for a Daniel Lynch (born 1825). The record with image is on FindMyPast. Soho Square is quite near St Giles. There appear to be other Lynch RC baptisms in Soho Square with a father's name of Daniel. (Looks like there were several Lynch families living in St Giles by 1841).

Not sure if this is related:
Friday 01 August 1851
Durham County Advertiser
Saturday 02 August 1851
Gateshead Observer
"Mary Lynch, wife of Daniel Lynch, shoemaker, went to live servant with the plaintiff in 1847, and remained till January, 1848. Very often took notes from Mrs Potts to Mr Balman, and after receiving these notes Mr Butman came immediately. Recollected Mrs Potts having some leeches applied to her ankles by Mr Potts on a Sunday. He left the house before dinner. Mrs Potts remained ..."
