Title: Labelling Photographs
Post by: rosijayne on Sunday 10 March 24 15:48 GMT (UK)
Hi everyone
could somebody please advise if there is a safe way to write names etc on the back of old black and white photographs.
I am currently moving my photos out of a film over photo album into acid free pockets, but am at a bit of a loss how to label them, as my Mum had written names etc on the writing space in the old album.
Thank you
Gill

Use a very soft pencil - say 4B.  Obtainable from art shops.

Harder pencils will leave a dent.  Any kind of ink is liable to chemical reaction over time.
