Post by: DowdallC on Wednesday 28 February 24 12:36 GMT (UK)
Hi All

Quick question are there any newspaper sites.  Mainly to look up archive news in County Louth/Monaghan.  Death notices, marriages etc.

Thanks

At BNA ( which would be reflected under FindMyPast) I identified about 20,000 editions covering period 1813 - 2005 for County Louth and about 3,000 editions for County Monaghan 1839-1905.

Haven't attempted to define the gaps in publication

Also a number of Irish newspapers available to view online free through Gale Primary Sources database. I access this through my Australian National Library card and use their eresources, however many libraries around the globe have similar arrangements.
