Title: Ancestry Messages
Post by: Cas (stallc) on Thursday 22 February 24 12:01 GMT (UK)
Anybody else having problems, or is it just me, before I contact them?

Seems to be frozen, cannot scroll up or down or read new messages, was fine last night.

The rest of the Ancestry site is ok..very strange

Thanks for that Cas, I will not bother trying a different browser this afternoon...
Do you mean that Ancestry actually employ human beings to answer queries that AI cannot?  ::)

No change for me... Only way to see recent messages is to shrink the window contents by Ctrl- but then the text is so small that you cannot read it...

Confused.com here... Still had problem using Chrome so finally tried Edge and it opened the Ancestry messages normally. Went back to Chrome and it too opened the messages normally! Any tech experts care to explain... At least I can get back to my contacts...

Messages working fine today, problems all day yesterday. Must have been related to the update as mentioned, although I don't see any difference.

For those wanting to contact support for issues, try search your browser first, you get will more help.

The messaging system hangs from time to time.

One message we sent took 8 years before the response came back.

Likewise, Ancestry has emailed us to advise that we have had two new messages received - They still have not appeared in the inbox!
