Title: O'Donovan/ Hayes Marriage
Post by: Fenian1956 on Saturday 17 February 24 13:48 GMT (UK)
I am interested in a marriage between. a Timothy O'Donovan and a Joan Hayes.  The wedding would be in West Cork, possibly in Kilmacabea (Leap) or nearby Roscarberry.  I estimate that we are looking in the 1845-1855 time span.  Anyone with links to both names, I would love to hear from you.

No links but there are various Donovan/Hayes records as you will know already.

Is this the family though?
Richard Donovan baptised Jan 1859, Kilmacabea with parents Timothy Donovan and Johanna Hayes.

It might help.

Possibility here - Bottom of left hand page
It looks like James Donovan with ‘Tihy’ or similar above and Johanna Hays
January 1850

What Heywood reads as a January 1850 marriage I read as February 1850.
'Tihy" actually being 'Febry' - compare to exactly the same abbreviation at the top of the right hand page.

Thank you for your efforts, Heywood and Wex!  Yes the baptism for Richard is the same family.  His sister Mary being my great grandmother!

Thanks again and sorry for my delay in replying!
