Title: Can anyone brighten this photo of my dad?
Post by: LizzieW on Tuesday 06 February 24 15:35 GMT (UK)
Can anyone brighten this photo of my dad, possibly taken in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) around 1943, plus get rid of the awful curtain and fake flowers?

Many thanks
Lizzie

Thank you.  I have no idea what that is on his left ear (right as we look at the photo), he didn't have anything wrong with his ears.

Here's a much clearer photo taken about 1939 when he was still in the UK, so you can all see what he looked like before he went to the Far East.  I don't need anything done with that photo.

Thank you looking much better.  I don't know how you do it.

Rami is it possible to remove the fake flowers and curtains from the photo?

Well, nothing fake were added,, it is original enhancement, curtains were cleaned and embossed, frequency separation used for flowers

I know you didn't add the fake flowers and curtain, they are on the original photo, I just wondered if you could remove them because they look a bit odd as a background for a soldier.

Very many thanks.  Sorry for delay in thanking you, I've just come back from a funeral - 90 year old lady so not too many tears as she'd had a good life.

58 kb is a very small size, you won't get quality work.

I'm happy with what Rootschatters have done for me.  I could have enlarged the photo but no-one asked me to.
