I am asking on behalf of someone who is a decendant of Nisbets who were weavers in Loundoun/Galston parishes, mainly Loudoun.
Archibald Nisbet married Elizabeth Craig, and they had children, family names include Archibald, James, Richmond, Janet, Margaret, Matthew, John, Robert, Jane etc born around 1822)/30's There are burials recorded in the OPR for the Newmikns Church.
Does anyone have these names in their Nisbet family?

1851 mistranscribed as Archd Neibel aged 76 -have notified error to Ancestry
The 1841 correctly shows Nisbet but somebody notified a correction to Nesbit back in 2019
Archibald died 1855
Suspect a lot of details are already known so if you are looking to “fill the gaps” let us know what specific info your contact is looking for so we don’t waste time duplicating info

Thank you for your replies, they are appreciated. I do have a bit more information on the family but was hoping that someone on this site maybe a descendant of Archibald Nisbet/Elizabeth Craig, or who may know someone connected to them still in this area. One of the family (James) went to America, Matthew I think moved to Galston but no idea what happened to the rest of the family.

Thanks everyone. I have checked out and traced a number of the family on the OPRs and Statutory records on scotlandspeople and various other sources, so I do have a bit more on the family. I am not a member of Ancestry.com, I don't normally go into the site. I was hoping to find living family who is researching this tree.
