A newspaper article featured a person looking for her former penfriend , surnamed Finlayson ,
who lived in Nairn in 1959/60.
I have no connection with these folk but the chance sighting of the newspaper report spiked my interest .
Any reader who likes a challenge could get the details from The Press & Journal 22 January 2024 , in the section 'PAST TIMES'.
The reporter is Susy Macaulay .
Can you help Mariana from Brazil find her mum's Nairn penpal? (pressandjournal.co.uk)

Rootschat has a strict no living persons policy to protect peoples privacy so you need to remove D's name from your subject header & post unless you can show he is deceased
www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk is not showing any death in Nairn or Argyll with a birthyear around the mid - late 1940's
A copy of Dolina's death cert may provide some clues
Re parents grave. Did you check their respective ages at death. Elizabeth was b around 1899

D* M* S* was b 1944 Nairn
The Dolina Margaret Finlayson who died 1995 was 46 so b 1948/49 - mmn MacLean
Did you see the 1970 marriage in Arrochar? Same christian names
Dolina Margaret MacDonald was b 1949 so you have the wrong marriage year
