Title: Location in Monzievaird & Strowan
Post by: jimmain on Wednesday 24 January 24 20:40 GMT (UK)
Patrick McDuff and Janet McVicker had 3 children from 1754 to 1761 in Monzievaird and Strowan.
I have 2 of the birth records, but cannot decipher the location where they lived.
I have attached one record (James McDuff) that contains this place name in two succeeding entries.
Can anyone tell me the name of this place?

Many thanks for this.
I just noted that their 3rd child was born in Drummachargan.
Do you know how far this was from Quoig?

Not very far. This is it here on the same map as before. It's east south east of Quoig.

Here is Quoig in a map of 1747-52. The spelling here is "Quoich".
