Still the father -
Michael Warren married first Elizabeth Chester at St Margaret's Leicester on 13 September 1802
Possible death for Elizabeth -burial 28 December 1818 age 48
So if your Michael was born circa 1824 she cannot be his mother
ADDED
Is there another marriage as yet not found?
He married as a widower 2nd Sarah Bealey -widow 8 August 1827 at St Mary's Leicester.
----------------------
In 1851 and 1861 Michael the son was a Hairdresser - he would have been apprenticed for this so his name may be mis transcribed on the 1841 census.
It's odd that in 1871 and 1881 he was a farmer or have I mixed up two families?

When Michael Warren married Ann Hockenhull 2 July 1844 at Wybunbury Cheshire a license was
issued on 27 June 1844
If the license survives it may give further clues.(Index on ancestry)
ADDED
Also apprenticeship records for Leicestershire.

Hello
I have those census records too and it is the same person. Like you say odd going from a hair dresser to a farmer
I can’t find an entry for 1841. There are a couple of Michaels but not in Leicestershire or Cheshire
I thought elizabeth Chester might be his mother but hadn’t found a death for her so that one is out I guess, unless his birth date is out which is possible
I have sent for his marriage cert to confirm his father and their occupations.
I have a transcript but they aren’t always accurate, that’s where I got his fathers name
I hadn’t thought of an apprenticeship so I’ll check that out
Thank you again for you help and advice

The address on the 1839 burial for Michael Warren was Bond Street, which is where Sophia was still living in 1841.
In July 1828 the newspapers carry lengthy reports about Michael Warren of Bond Street being indicted for keeping a common brothel there. Found guilty and fined £50, sentenced to 3-months, and to find security himself for £100 and two sureties £25 each. To remain in prison until fine paid and sureties found.
In 1833 he was in trouble again for fraud.

A copy of the marriage bond is available on FindMyPast, although it doesn't add any further detail, except that Ann's father gave his consent.
The certificate and newspaper articles are also on FindMyPast.
