Title: COMPLETE Help with gro.gov.uk/Missing Death Certificate
Post by: rutht22000 on Saturday 30 December 23 20:53 GMT (UK)
I have been trying and failing to get a digital image of a death for one of my grandmother's cousins.

She was Gertrude Woodmansey whose death is registered in December Quarter 1903 in Scarborough.  I have her volume and page (9d 243) but putting this information into the GRO website produces 'No Results', even if I widen the search perameters on the name just in case there is a spelling issue and changed the sex to male just in case she was indexed wrong.  It only turns up her mother Clara's death a few weeks earlier.

I know her cause of death (Peritonitis from a burst appendix) but its the location I am after as I am not sure why she was in Scarborough at the time.

She is buried with her mother in Hull Western Cemetary (as far as I am aware).  Has anyone any bright ideas as to why it won't be showing up at all?  I have tried other people on the page and they are showing up (I tried Mary Jane Dearden Tiffany and Grace Tyson and they are there)

Thank you.

Thank you. wonder why it didn’t show for me when I was messing about with the spelling drop down…Never mind…thank you though for finding her so quickly!

One more to add to the far too much I’ve spent already on £2.50 images ;D  ;D
