I am trying to obtain a birth certificate or better still copy of original registration for genealogy information only. Have birth date and place 08 Jan 1934, Warmbad, Karas, Namibia.
We are trying to find out who our great grandfathers and his wife's families are and where they originated from. Any tips would be greatly received! Thanks in advance. Suzy.

As Namibia was a South Africa Protectorate at the time the information may be in the Cape Town archives, you would need to apply to them to verify that.

Thank you, Gillian for this information.
My next question can I contact the Cape Town archives online?
Thank you again, Suzy

Thank you so much for your help!
I omitted to tell you I am in Australia, creating the difficulty in finding ways to locate information.
Again, thank you it is very much appreciated! Suzy.

I am back again without any luck, Contacted Cape Town Archives as suggested, had an immediate reply, who suggested that the records are now in Windhoek, they gave me email address and contact person, I then sent of a message.... have never heard back from them, sent a follow up email still nothing.
Was wondering is there any other means of finding where my 3 birth records could/would be recorded and obtainable? Have birth date and place 08 Jan 1934, Warmbad, Karas, Namibia of last child, the first two children are all born same place (as far as we know) from c1934-1934.

Search on Facebook SWA/Namibia Genealogy, I was unable to copy the link. They list researchers who may be able to help you. I too am in Oz.

Thank you pampoen, I certainly will try that, I am desperate!

I have sent you a message. Are you able to provide their names? Might be able to find them on Familysearch.

Thank you again, I found it (the address) straight after you messaged me, and sent of a request, so easy hopefully I get something to get me going again. There is a lot of Dutch reformed church records on familysearch.org for Namibia however my lot obviously are something else. thanks for your help
