Peter Calver of Lost Cousins recently drew my attention to a DNA-only subscription on Ancestry. It is well hidden from sight but I eventually tracked it down. Details at
https://support.ancestry.com/s/article/AncestryDNA-Plus-Membership?language=en_US
It seems to be available by invitation only. You cannot subscribe at the moment so fee unknown. Has anyone here been invited?
While searching for it I saw that Ancestry.com also offer Pro Tools at $9.99/month for building trees for their American customers.

Interesting.
We have Worldwide and see the Upgrade to Pro Tools link when we log into their dot Com website.
Quote from within the text linked to by ikas “ Access to paid records or family trees not included.”
Looks like yet another Ancestry pick pocketing idea to extract more cash from its users.
Local > Worldwide > Fold 3 > Newspapers > DNA > DNA+ > Certificate supply > etc

Peter wondered whether the subscription needed soon to view shared matches, etc as discussed on the other thread might be the DNA Plus subscription. That might mitigate the impact but only if it is a one-off, relatively small, subscription similar to MyHeritage. Time will tell.
