Title: 29th Regiment

I found a reference to a John McArthur army pensioner 29th Regiment on an old death certificate from 1905.

I suspect the Army service probably took place more than 40 years before that. Any help finding service information would be great. Thanks

Might it be 79th? There's a John McArthur of the 79th, born around 1800.

Son James was born in 1850's working back from 1898 death certificate for son. Also had a wife Rachel and daughter Jane

Born around 1800 in Drogheda, attested in Edinburgh, served 1816-1842 in France, UK and Canada.
