Hi I am trying to trace the baptism and parents of Walter Harrison who according to the 1939 census was born 30th June 1892 and was widowed and living in Stoke Prior.
He married Ida M Spencer in Upton in 1892, but I have been unable to trace him any further. There was a Walter born that year in Droitwich but it does not seem to be the right person. Any help would be much appreciated
Many thanks David

Is the marriage date incorrect - it's the same as his year of birth!

-
Walter can be found with his father in 1901 and 1911 and has an older brother Ernest, presumably the witness at the wedding. I'm having some issues finding birth registrations for the siblings
Not sure of mother's maiden name, as both the potential spouses for Richard Thomas Harrison's marriage in 1867 are called Mary (and the other groom is called Thomas Harrison)
-
Not sure why I didn;t find him

I think from 1911 there may be one more child to find
-
I see what you mean it says 14 children 9 alive 5 deceased. I wasn't expecting that as widowers do not as a rule answer that question. I'll see what I can find.
-----------------------
1911 daughter Selina (1886) has married Reginald Greaves 6 July 1908 at Wychbold.
Witness is her brother Albert Harrison. Plus Henrietta Esther Greaves.
Reginald and Selina had a son Albert bap. 24 January 1909 at Wychbold
Address 39 Sagebury Terrace, Shaw Lane.
Same address as 1901 census
-
I wonder if it should be 15 children 9 living 5 deceased.
There are twins Harriet and Mary reg. Clifton March quarter 1874 name Harrisson mother Smith.
both deaths recorded March quarter 1874 reg at Clifton - Harriet 6A page 68, Mary 6A page 70
unless baptisms can be found a copy of the birth/death certificate will be the only proof.
-
Possible for daughter Annie Harrison (1879) death is registered 1905 age 25 Droitwich.
