Hi
This is our beautiful granddaughter Jorgia who tragically died suddenly on 18 October 2023 in USA where she lived. Autopsy didn't find any cause, so her death certificate reads "Cause Unknown". Is it possible for anyone to provide a better background to Jorgia's photograph than the cloakroom where the photo was originally taken.
-
This sort of thing do you mean? Much better ones will appear :-)
-
Yes thank you very much. I didn't mind, I just wanted something better than a cloakroom! If I get more, I intend to print them off and frame the one I like most.

You should get LOTS more as such a sad story and a good photo to work on. Is there anywhere / scene she really liked?
-
She liked animals, I don't know of any particular places she liked. She lived in Connecticut.

Will give restorers something to work on now. Good luck:

Thank you very much.

Chose a park in CT which I thought might be appropriate.
-
Thank you very much, that's lovely.
-
These backgrounds locations are all popular tourist places in Connecticut (see renamed photo titles).

Thank you, they're great. She was born in Manchester CT and lived in Meriden CT, but not sure if there's anything around there. We, went to Elizabeth Park many years ago when Jorgia was young, so that's quite appropriate.
Interestingly we went to the Dam when we were over there in September, not with Jorgia though, she was working.

Thank you so much for your message. Jorgia's death was such a shock to us all, especially as we had been in USA only 3 weeks before and spent time with her. She was fit and well and to find no cause of death doesn't bring any closure really.

One from me....
Thank you, that is beautiful. So many lovely ideas from everyone.

One from me....
Absolutely Gorgeous Andy. Well Done, you have done her proud 8)

Thanks Carol. To be fair, everyone made a good effort, the 'cut out' was far from straight forward.

Jorgia 2018

Thank you very much, another great background for Jorgia.

I did not see her in such a formal attire being set in a parklike or other setting. The warm glows to the lighting and dress to me suggested a ballroom.
Before any discussion occurs around the creation of this setting, I am readily admitting that it is totally computer generated. I simply programmed the computer to generate a ballroom backdrop. AI did the rest. Although not a particular fan of AI - I also used a modest amount to sharpen her facial detail and refine them a bit from the rather lo-res original resolution.
So very sorry for you and your family's loss.
-
That's lovely, thank you very much. I guess the fact the original was taken in a cloakroom shows she was out somewhere.
-
In the past, when there was a death they could not explain, they sometimes called it a 'visitation from God'.
I am very sorry for your loss.
-
Thank you. I think nowadays with all the medical diagnostics etc. available, a cause of death should be found. Even natural causes would be better than cause unknown. It seems American autopsies are not as thorough as ones in the UK and they rely on sending tissue samples for analysis which takes weeks if not months for a result to come through.
-
I’m so very sorry for your loss. I can hardly imagine how you and the rest of Jorgia’s family must be feeling. Such a shock for you all.
-
Thank you very much for your kind words and the background you've provided for the photo, it reminds me of a verse from the bible that was said at her funeral - "In my Father's house are many rooms..."
It is the shock of her sudden death without a cause that is causing us so much heartache, it just doesn't seem real, a fit healthy young woman of 26 who, apparently, just laid down and died, we can't get our heads round it, or the fact that we'll never see her again. :'(

RIP
my try ...

Thank you very much, the surround suits her and her joie de vivre that she had.
