Hi
I am researching the SMITH family in Askham in the middle/late 18th century and early 19th century. I have a WADE SMITH who married ELIZABETH DOCKERAY 5th August 1762 in Lowther, St Michael. At present I have found no baptism/birth record for either party. They produced 10 offspring who were all baptised in Askham between 1762 and 1780 - WADE SMITH described as a shopkeeper. I have a poll book/Electoral record of WADE SMITH Askham in 1818. I have checked the Askham registers up to 1812 - no burial record for either WADE or ELIZABETH SMITH. I am seeking the burial record for either both individuals which I believe to be post 1812.
If anyone has any knowledge or research interest in this family I would love to hear from them. Additionally, if anyone has access to the Askham parish records post 1812 or knowledge of their whereabouts please can you advise me further?
Any help/advice - greatly appreciated.
Regards
Jim
