As per the attached image, does anyone have any idea where 'Rewarren' is? Perhaps it is the name of a farm? Thank you
-
Other families resident in Rewarren (from Rafford parish registers):
Alexander Bain, farmer (died 1830)
Henry Dunbar (children baptised 1825-1835)
William Jack, road maker/contractor (marriages 1821 and 1827, baptisms 1822-1830)
? Cameron (married Mary Findlay of Rafford in 1849)

Thank you very much, ShaunJ, that's very helpful :)

The Dunbar family are at Ramflate Lodge in Rafford in 1841 and 1851. Henry is a MS in 1841 and a general labourer in 1851 per transcripts.

I think you are right, Kay.
Alexander Grant's 1873 death record has the place of death as Reverrand, Rafford.

Possibly “Ruoarran” in Rafford
-
In the 1861 census the property is on the same page as Woodside, Blackhill, Stonyford and Bogago
-
All this is a reminder of the archaic pronunciation of "v" as "w".

Using the seamless map https://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/#zoom=15.0&lat=57.57009&lon=-3.58537&layers=257&b=1 you can hover over Reverrand and read off the National Grid Reference in the lower right corner.
Find the blue button in the lower left corner and drag it to the left. You can see that the site of Reverrand is now a field, and that no trace of Reverrand is visible on the field, though the outline of the field is unchanged.
