I would be grateful if someone who can access the actual or filmed record could tell me whether the 19 January 1815 entry records the father of Elizabeth Halberd (aka Albone) and the names of witnesses.
Thank you, Ouse who.

Unlikely to have fathers name as it was before registration began 1838.
What about Elizabeth Holbern bap. 30 April 1795 at Eyeworth parents Rob. and Mary
It is 4 miles from Biggleswade.

There is also a marriage of Uriah Johnson to Lucy Allibone 1 October 1780 at Kempston
Could that be the reference in Edward Arbor/Albone Johnson bap. 10 September 1820 of Uriah and Elizabeth.
Uriah Johnson 1796-1858 is possible son of Uriah Johnson married 1780 ?
ADDED
Or William and Elizabeth

I know a lot about Biggleswade born Elizabeth after she married Uriah Johnson, but she was one of three Elizabeth Albones born within a few years of each other.
Which were her parents - James and Sarah, Joseph and Ann or William and Elizabeth? A marriage entry with her father or a sibling named would clinch it. ;D
I know some church registers did include the father's name.

You are making an assumption her maiden name was Alibone and not Halberd ??

My wife has 8-9 DNA matches to folk who claim to be descended from either James and Sarah (Miller) or Joseph and Ann (Bonfield) but unfortunately Ancestry ThruLines has umpteen permutations of relationships.
Uriah and Elizabeth had a son they named Edward Albone/Alban and the name was given to two grandchildren. johnP-bedford previously observed that the name Halberd does not appear in any other record other than a Pigot's transcription - so likely a miss hearing or transcription of Albone?

Going back and trying to connect the families.
James who marries Martha Carr 12 September 1779 is a Carpenter per apprenticeship records 1770
Joseph who marries Ann Bonifield 2 December 1777 is also a Carpenter per apprenticeship records 1780.
Edward son of Joseph marries Elizabeth Larman 1803 they name a son Miller bap 9 May 1824.
-----------------
Uriah Johnson and Elizabeth name a son David Miller circa 1830
-----------------
Miller Albone marries Mary Billing 19 June 1772
So did Miller and Mary have a daughter Elizabeth?
-
Thank you amondg for your interest.
I had been aware of David Miller Johnson but had not picked up Miller Albone. Seems sometimes Millar appears instead of Miller.
James Albone's second wife was Sarah Miller - and Joseph's mother was Sarah Millard. ::)

My post from 2018 that johnP-bedford links to shows I had been toying with Elizabeth's surname and parentage for some time.
My wife's recent DNA matches are confirming that her surname was indeed Albone and the strong link to the Albones of Biggleswade.
As Frederick Emmison auther of the 1931 Bedfordshire Parish Transcripts noted in the forward to the Biggleswade publication, Albone was among the most popular surname between 1692 and 1812, so trying to work out who is connected to who is no easy task given the repetition of several Christian names.
If the Church entry doesn't reveal the information I seek, I suspect in time the DNA matches will do so.

Thanks again johnP-bedford for your helpful insights and information you have shared over the years.
