Hi
Does anyone have access to the records for Christ Church, Blackburn, Lancashire?
A lot of marriage on one side of the family appear to take place there.
The one I am stuck on at the moment is Eric Carter / Jane Harwood which took place in 1937.
I think Eric's Parents were James Carter and Mary Coupland their marriage took place in 1904 also at Christ Church, Blackburn.
I need this to verify the relationship. This is not my direct line but a Great Aunt / Great Uncle.
Heres Hoping with Thanks Jinks

GRO can supply Marriage Certificates?
Get the reference from FreeBMD.org.uk.
Then use that to order the relevant certificate.

Presumably you have located Eric and Jane on the 1939 register, that should confirm their birth dates.
This looks like Erics birth registration
CARTER, ERIC mmn COUPLAND
GRO Reference: 1909 June Quarter in BLACKBURN Volume 08E Page 383
1911 census has a 2 year old Eric with parents Harry and Mary Agnes in Blackburn. There is a marriage in 1904 for a Henry Carter and Mary Agnes Coupland.

Unfortunately, Christ Church online records seem to stop at 1936.
The records are held at Lancashire Archives

Pity about Eric and Janie's Marriage was trying to double check Henry was the Father.
