Title: West Kent quarter session records.
Post by: Mallory on Saturday 14 October 23 23:21 BST (UK)
 Hi,

Apologies if this is not the right place for this post.

I recently found an index of West Kent quarter sessions bastardy orders from July 1758 to July 1788 on the Rootsweb.com web site and I am interested in an entry for Philis Foreman. The entry is dated 1774 and shows the Mother’s name and status, the child’s sex, birthplace and year, the father’s name, parish and occupation, a date and a folio number.

Does anybody know if the folios referred to in this list still exist and if so, are they available on-line?  Also does anybody know what additional information, if any, could be shown on the folio?

     Thanks

You could try National Archives. :)
