Title: Mary Eeke
Post by: wolfman99 on Sunday 08 October 23 22:16 BST (UK)
Seeking information on Mary Eeke who appears on my 2 x grandfather's marriage certificate as his mother. It states he was born in 1829 as John Turner to John Turner, a lawyer (or sawyer), and Mary Eeke in London.

There's a John Turner/Mary Eke marriage in East Dereham, Norfolk in 1821. Both widowed.

It will depend on what country we are talking about  :-\
Mother's details appeared on some Australian marriage certificates.

Pretty sure John Turner (widower) and Mary Eke (widow) married 11 June 1821 at Dereham, Norfolk, UK. Son John Turner was baptised at Stalham 18 October 1829.

The next step is to track John back and locate details of his previous marriage. Similarly, Mary Eke's original surname is unknown as is the identity of her deceased husband.

See Emeltom's reply no.3 which gives details of Mary Eke's previous marriage.
