MEOT being Mile End Old Town

Have you found her on any census entries?

Who were the children?  What surnames were their births registered as & when?

Have you bought a copy of either of the births to establish if a fathers name is shown?

1901 shows her living with married daughter Hester (Esther) Harris nee Plaistow b 1868 plus 2 other Plaistow children

Annie b 1874 & John b 1879

Caroline is shown as a widow

1881 she is a widow with additional son Albert b 1865

1871 she is Fuller - living with her parents but shown as a widow

There is no marriage between a Caroline Fuller & a Plaistow unless it was outside The UK.

In 1871 Albert is 6 & Esther 3mths - both b MEOT.  The entry is under Fuller as she is with her parents

Esther married as Plaistow but there is no birth registration for her under either Fuller or Plaistow

You could look for a Plaistow man in the 1871 census in the same area as Caroline.

Or as suggested if you have a birth certificate address to look for.

Do any of the children name a father when they marry?

Assuming a Mr Plaistow is one of the fathers - who is the other father - any clues as to dates/children?

Esther is 13 on the next census so could she be this one  :-\

Esther Fuller Dec 1867 Bethnal Green - no mothers name

I wonder if she was 3 rather than 3 months in 1871 but it isn't clear - looks like 3 1/2 but not seen 1/2's before.

There is a WH infirmary record for Albert as Plaistow - he appears to have died 1909

Good find Milliepede - In 1901 Esther is 33 which fits with an 1867 birth.  Think age is 3 & a half yrs in 1871 but looks like 3mths

Albert was registered as Fuller 1965 - no mmn

To all regarding Caroline Fuller
Please assume all information given by Caroline Fuller to any authority as convenient, not necessarily accurate.
In her lifetime she called herself a widow twice over, but almost certainly never married.
In 1886 when living in Cadiz Road, Tower Hamlets she was called to the Old Bailey as a witness to an arson and attempted murder, but gave false information as to her personal circumstances.
You cannot trust the names given by her children as to their fathers on documents because you cannot find 2nd sources for verification of that person.
So, I was originally asking if 'out there' a descendant of either of her partners had information as to who these persons were?

As we have no idea who her "partners" were it would be impossible to answer that question.  Have you checked if anybody has a tree on Ancestry for any of the children?

Are you a descendant of any of her 4 children?  If so - have you had a DNA test?

Richard Calvert was visiting "Mrs Plaistow" ??

What names have you got?  You haven't given us names for the two fathers or said which child or children belonged to the second father  ???

If you name them then people can look for you  :)

Marriage for Esther gives her father as William John a labourer - copy online but blurred so not sure what it says after his surname - (dec'd) perhaps.

Obviously a father did exist - have you looked for a William John?
