Title: Rees Morgans of Lampeter

I'm hoping someone could help me with discovering the family of my great grandfather, Rees Morgans.
On his marriage certificate he gives his father as Rees Morgans, a farmer. In 1881 he was a journeyman tailor, and he kept up this occupation until he died. I found him in the 1881 census and he gave his birthplace as Lampeter, and kept this up over the following census. Requests to the Registry Offices around Lampeter weren't able to help. So I'm hoping that there's someone out there who could  help me find him in 1861 and 1871, as I've been unable to locate him. Any help would be appreciated.

What was his birthyear?  What year did he marry?

Is this the man, if so he will not be on the 1861 census

Down as Morgan - not Morgans

No obvious birth as Morgan - 1862 birth as Morgans on freebmd - mmn Davies

Have you considered this GRO registration?

I note the 1861 census was mentioned in the post, so was Rees born earlier and the census I posted is not the one, such as below?

FreeREG has Lampeter records.
No bapt for Rees there though.

In 1891 he is Surname Morgan b 1864 Lampeter - wife Mary nee Price

Living in Carmarthenshire

Son Edward Thomas registered as Morgan - not Morgans

1882 marriage on freebmd has both spellings

1871 - The only “Rees b Lampeter” in the age range is 8yr old Rees Davies living with his grandmother
