Elizabeth Married Alexander Scott born 1831 died 1877 I have looked for the marriage of these two on many sites can anyone help me here please .
they have 3 boys Adam Scott 1854/1933 ,John Thompson Scott 1857 and Alexander Scott 1859
Elizabeth died in Childbirth with Alexander.. I believe they were living at Scremerston near Berwick upon Tweed at this time .In 1861 census living with Alexander and the boys is a Ann Manson later he marries her in 1863

Adam also had Thompson as a middle name
Suspect Alexander was the son of Adam & Isabella Scott who were in Northumberland in 1851. Alexander was single

Is it possible that this was a second marriage for Elizabeth?

Thanks for your quick reply both of you
Carole I did not have Adam with a middle name but it could be right as he is the first born
miw I have no idea if Elizabeth was married before in 1851 census she is living with her widowed mother Jane entered Elizabeth is aged 22 along with her brother James .
There is another person there very bad to make out but to me it looks like a grandchild aged 3 all the family are born in Scotland
This document was posted to me from a relative

Any marriage for Alexander & Elizabeth would have had to be after the 1851 census but there is nothing on freebmd or SP.

Newcastle City Library (local studies) has a volume of border marriages, Lamberton Toll etc. I checked this yesterday evening but could not see a marriage for an Alexander Scott and Elizabeth Thompson, unfortunately.
