Hi,
I have looked up the Probate for my Grandfather who died in 1958. I have found the Probate Record in the registry but there is no Will with it. All the other people I have looked up I have managed to get a copy of a Will also. Is this usual not to have a Will with the Probate Record?
Thank you
Cathy

Does it say Administration to and a name? If so, it means he was intestate and there is no Will.

I have applied for the Probate record but do not have it yet. I have always been told by My Mother and other family members that he did leave a Will but of course this is all hearsay. My two Uncles were appointed as Executors according the to the brief description on the Probate Registry Site. I will look at the wording on the Probate when I get it. Thank you for your help.

If your Uncles were appointed as executors it means there will be a Will.
