Is this your own FH or somebody’s on the Curious Fox website you use?
You haven’t spelt his name correctly
https://www.cwgc.org/find-records/find-war-dead/casualty-details/2765503/william-leslie-aichingson/
No birth on freebmd? Where was he born?
-
Holloway Press 21 January 1944
Mentioned that he was at home at Montague Tibbles House
This address is Chalk Farm, Camden

The only one I can find that comes close is the South African one but wrong spelling mothers name & death month.

Women named Lily in Tibbles House in 1939 (ignoring those born after 1904):
Lilian Calverley born 1889
Lily Dwyer 1893
Lilian M Gorrod 1892
Lilian M Maney 1899
Lily Walker 1900
They were all still there in the 1945 electoral roll (but that's not very reliable):
1945 electoral roll:
Lily HA Curtis
Lily Dwyer
Lilian R Knight
Lily E Townsend
Lilian Calverley x 2
Lilian M Maney
Lily Walker
Lilian Ellis
Lilias M Garrod
Lily Posner
Lilian M Rainaut
Lily Welton
Lilly J Presswell

Per the 1921 census, Lily Dwyer had a son William L Dwyer born circa 1918.
-
William Leslie Dwyer born 16 January 1918

Goodness Shaun, that looks interesting.
-
cwgc entry refers to son of Lily which fits - but no mention of wife Lily? Wonder why - and why the change in surname??
The 1918 birth for William L Dwyer shows mmn Cummings which would mean he was the son of William Dwyer & Lily Cummings who married 1915
-
but no mention of wife Lily?
Who said anything about a wife?
-
We need clarification from Magslote as I suspect this is not her own FH & is something to do with Curious Fox. There has been confusion on other such posts previously
EDIT
WW1 doc shows Lily as his wife - cwgc entry refers to him as “son of Lily”
-
As suspected - Curious Fox

Magslote - would suggest the WW2 service record is obtained for more info

WW1 doc relates to William the father, who married Lily Cummings. And had William Leslie 1918.
-
Yes William was the father of William Leslie Dwyer b 1918 - but where does it fit with the surname Aichingson?
William snr must have survived WW2 as there are Dwyer/Cummings births to 1932
No remarriage for Lily to an Aichingson or similar??
It would be much better if Magslote directed the Curious Fox posters to RC so we can get the info first hand
-
Lily Dwyer was still at 35 St Silas Street in the 1937 voters list.
William Dwyer was there until 1925 but is not listed in 1927 or thereafter.
