Title: Dowgust: where was / is it?
Post by: ramjo on Friday 04 August 23 05:00 BST (UK)
The 1699 Clyffe Pypard PR lists the burial of a man who was "of Dowgust".  I've searched (perhaps not very well) but I can't find any reference to this place.

Can anyone offer any suggestion or hints?

Thank you
Jo

Here's a snapshot - it's fairly clear. I wonder if spelling error.

Could it have been the name of a house or farm?
