Hi All,
I need assistance reading/translating an entry on September 23, 1751, Castlerahan and Munterconnaught | Microfilm 05348 / 04 on the NLI website. The surname is Sandford.

Hi Brenda,
The link you have provided takes us to a set of images that doesn't seem to have an entry for September 23, 1751.
There are Birth, Marriage and Death records on the film and I've had a quick look at these - but nothing appears for 23 Sept. 1751
If your screenshot is bigger than 500kb it may not load

It’s on the left hand page, the second entry for the 23rd.
I think the year at the top is 1817.
There is only 2 pages 1751 and 1752 mixed in with 1800s pages.

Hi, I think I've found the entry you are referring to.
The entry is for a birth on 23 September 1817.
If you use the filter on the top left of the image and put in 'Baptisms', '1817', 'September' and then 'apply' you will see there are actually two different images of the same page available (arrows on top right).
Maybe one copy is better than the other?
I think I can see ..........Sandford & Catherina Bickland and on next line Edwardus Bickland & Margarita Guy ?? [witnesses??] and then a place name

So far it is a 'f' ie son, or is it?.
One of the sponsors is Edvardisus (?) or Edvardus (?) Bukland and Margarita Guy(?) from Curneen?
Yes Bickland is better (fr Ronda)
I think the father's name is Edvardi...though I did toy with Brodie and Buardi - apparently both can be used in ireland.

Think the place name is Cormeen although the spelling may differ a bit, using the link to Irish Ancestors on the main page will give you place names in the parish.

I found this record on RootsIreland. However, I believe the first name of father and witness (Edward) was mistranscribed. Well, one of them anyway!

It's something like,
Elionaram f Edvardi Sandford & Catharina Bukland
f Edvardus Buckland & Margarita Guy Curmun
i.e. Elionar daughter of Edward Sandford and Catherine Bukland,
daughter of Edward Bukland and Margaret Guy Curmun
It could be Curmeen not Curmun. It could be Bickland rather than Bukland, or even Beekland. Not too sure of the vowels in Elionaram - and of course it was up to the writer how he Latinised the name the parents gave.

ETA. Looking again, that's not an "f" before Edwardus so I was wrong reading it as "daughter". I'm not sure what it is an abbreviation of, but I expect it means the last two mentioned are witnesses or godparents, as others have already suggested.
