Hello All
I'm have trouble finding birth around 1908 (can't find NSW) trying to find parents and siblings if any?

Death is 4th October 1994 NSW AU
Does anyone have any ideas!

Find a Grave has birthdate as19th February 1908'
I see he was a Brother of the Catholic Church.
There is  an entry for the death of a Joseph Beckhaus which mentions a son Leonard (Christian Brother ) and other children

This ties in with trees on Ancestry. Father Joseph, Mother Ellen smith.
According to the trees he was born in South Africa.

It gives his DOB as 19th February 1908 but his name is Leonard Joseph BECKHOUSE.
POB Somerset Strand, South Africa
Father  Joseph BECKHOUSE

It might be worth searching this site more, there are lots of variations of the name BECKHAUS there.

His death notice includes a sister and nephews:

"Beckhaus,  Brother Leonard Joachim CFC - October4, 1994, at hospital. Beloved brother of ... and uncle of ... and member of Christian Brothers High School Lewisham Community. Aged 85 years."

Actually, pretty sure the sister died in 1997.

Sister on the death notice: Mrs Isabella JARMAN.

An Isabel BECKHOUSE married Thomas JARMAN registered in Sutherland in 1927. (2875/1927 )
They can be found on various electoral rolls together (as Thomas and Isabella Jospehine).

Isabella Josephine JARMAN died March 1997

Thomas Albert William JARMAN died 10 Aug 1974 (death notice confirms his wife was Isabella).
