Title: Llangwelach?
Post by: roycymru on Monday 31 July 23 08:04 BST (UK)
Hi

Does anyone recognise the place of origin of the bride Hannah Walter in the attached. It looks like Llangwelach but it’s not a place I recognise. The marriage took place in St. Elli. The bride was not necessarily from Carmarthenshire

Thank you

Could it have been Llangyfelach

Could it have been Llangyfelach

Thanks. Looking at it again it could be Llangevelach and therefore a misspelling of Llangyfelach

I would agree a bad spelling of Llangyfelach which is not very far from Llanelli
