On the 1977 death certificate for Robert Forrest - Alex C Ross was the informant - stepson.

Scotlands People is a subscription site Peggy.   It allows you to search free of charge and you only pay when you view, download or order copies of records. You would be able to copy the document for someone but they cannot access it.

Sorry. Basically, Alexander’s birth says he is the illegitimate son of Barbara Ross.
