Hello All
Unfortunately I have hit a brick wall in my research.
I am searching for a death record for Sylvester/Silvester Trueman Bush born 22 February 1861 Nottingham.
He is with his wife Mary on 1901 census but in 1911 she states she is a widow but I am unable to find a death record.
Any help would be appreciated.

Was he a seaman?
-
No, he wasn’t in any of the armed forces.
-
1911 shows a 5yr old son so that narrows any death to 1905-1911
Sons Enoch & Ernest are in Notts WH in 1911?
-
Yes, I have all census information .
From what I can gather the younger children were taken away due to neglect by the parents..
My instincts are telling me that maybe Mary wasn’t telling the truth about being a widow but I just can’t find a death for Sylvester so am at a loss as to where to go next ?

Long Eaton Advertiser 18th May 1906
'Sylvester Bush, slater and his wife Mary Bush of 36 Pipe St, Sneinton Market, stood in the dock at Nottingham Summons Court charged with neglecting their children, Lydia 13, Thomas 9, Ernest 8, Enoch 5 and Albert Edward five months.
Defendants had been previously convicted. They would each go to prison for two months.'
There is a lot more to the newspaper report, it was quite serious neglect of the children. :(
At least you know Sylvester was still alive in 1906.
