Title: Birth Certs
Post by: mentmore on Monday 24 July 23 23:31 BST (UK)

Why would children be re-registered?  One child born 1997 another 2001?  Both re registered 2005.

Could it be because they needed a Full Cert?

Thanks

A couple of reasons a birth can be re-registered to include up-to-date information such as having the natural father's details added which weren't on the original certificate or the parents have married since the births were originally registered.
This link gives a run down of reasons for reregistration

Thanks crisane

The children had their fathers name, but parents not married at the time of their births.

Parents married a few years after the last child born.

So apparently it's Law and that answers my question.

Many thanks.
