I was wondering whether there could be a newspaper article for the death of William Herbert in Malta. I think he died around 1900 but not sure. He was an ex Royal Navy serviceman and had ties to the Navy after leaving service so thought he may have been mentioned in the papers

There is a mention in the Daily Malta Chronicle and Garrison Gazette dated 26 March 1900 (see attached) that could be the right man.

Thanks so much for that, that looks like the right person. He would have been a pensioner at this time as he would have been 67, so it fits.
