Hi
I'm trying to help my aunty with a dead end on the Burstons' from Somerset
We have Charles Burston born 1878 Wellington Somerset, in the workhouse in 1881 and 1891 censues and with wife and family on the censuses after that.
I've found what i believe to be his birth registration, no MMN listed and have drawn a blank with christening records. Also had no luck with bastardy bonds, has anyone else any ideas of how to trace his parents other than maybe getting his mother's name from the suspected birth certificate?
Thanks 😊

I think the birth cert is your only certain way
These are all the areas which came under the Wellington RD

I notice the 1881 has an 8yr old John Burston b Wellington in the same workhouse

A J-Peg copy is less expensive.

Thanks for your replies, I'd noticed the other Burston boy, John b.1873 but couldn't find a suitable birth registration so not sure if he'd be a brother or not, will probably have to get the cert to at least narrow down the mums name
Thanks again :-)
