IF you have access to ancestry, here is a link to an extensive family tree (one of many) which shows most of Sybil's siblings going forward...........should give you some good contacts for relatives.

I will sign up for ancestry and have a look at that link.  It sounds like it will answer things for me.   Thanks again

You could always do a 14 day free trial but cancel it after a few days. Still gives you the full 14 days.

Or follow instructions on this thread to get the cheapest available offer for 12 month memberships.

Sometimes you have to try the link a few times to get the right screen to come up, it can be temperamental.

Should roughly be something like £59-99 for 12 months UK and £89-99 for 12 months worldwide access.

The original poster states that Sybil was originally from Buxton in Derbyshire.  The only one I can see that is most likely is one whose father is Thomas.  She appears to be one of nine children.

Living at 83 Bennett St Buxton, Buxton, Derbyshire in the 1911 census.  Thomas is a farm labourer.

Registration district Chapel En Le Frith

Thomas' marriage:-

Marriages Mar 1884
Chappell    Mary Emma        Chapel le F.    7b   945
Keeling    Thomas        Chapel En Le Frith    7b   945

Sybil's birth record:-

KEELING, SYBIL       CHAPELL
GRO Reference: 1900  D Quarter in CHAPEL-EN-LE-FRITH  Volume 07B  Page 761

Is this going to be the same Sybil that Julie is researching?

Hi….with regards to the info re Sybil’s Father.   I can confirm that Thomas and Mary Emma were indeed her parents .   Sybil was my Grandad’s Sister.   My Grandad’s name was Richard (Dick) Keeling .

So Henery seems to have got a bit muddled with who he thought Sybil's father was.

Hi Henery…..I can confirm that a gentleman named Thomas was Sybil’s Father and Mary Emma nee Chappell was her Mother . Thomas died April 18th 1923.   Their headstone is in Buxton Cemetery.
