Title: Electoral Registers
Post by: bevbee on Tuesday 27 June 23 15:24 BST (UK)
Hello everyone,
Looking for a bit of advice please?
I have an address in Workington and want to find out who lived there in the early 1970s.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
Thank you.
B.

British Library has UK electoral registers but looking at this link seems to indicate they have not yet been digitised

Alternatively, if it is more convenient, Cumbria Record Office holds the ERs for Workington 1918-1973 +1978 in their Carlisle Archive. As with the BL holdings, these won't have been digitized, but it may be easier to get an archivist to do a single look up there than would be the case with the BL.
