Title: Translation of Suisse Emigration Application Please
Post by: John Bell on Wednesday 21 June 23 01:30 BST (UK)
Could I ask for assistance in the translation of the Emigration document attached.

In particular. the Commune, Profession and Depart.

On her arrival in Fremantle aboard the Cathay (24.3.1930), Marguerite Victoria Friederich gave her occupation as Governess.

She was born England (1905) and educated in Switzerland and I am trying to find more information on her whilst she was there. She could have been in Switzerland c1915-1930.

Thanking you,
John.

Friedrich, Victoria, born 1905. British subject. Last residence: Vevey in Vaud Canton. Says "privatiere" for profession (meaning not working, living off her assets). Left Switzerland in February 1930. Embarked at Marseille aboard the Cathay. Bound for Freemantle. Cost of the ticket was 2012 Francs. Original price was 80 pounds. Passenger was an emigrant.
