In my research I have found a Baptism as follows :
Henry SAVEROUSE : baptised 4th January 1846 at All Saints parish church, Winterton, Lincs.
The entry shows his parents as Henry and Eliza SAVEROUSE, with Henry snr. being recorded as an
interpreter.
I believe that the Eliza is Eliza BLYTH (b 1811 Winterton), by reference to Henry jnr. later being recorded in the 1851 Winterton census, as a grandson, aged 5 years, with other BLYTH ancestors.
I am unable to find any BMD info relating to Henry and Eliza's place of Marriage, nor can I find a birth registration for Henry jnr. (though the census entry records Winterton )
Post the 1846 Baptism I cannot find any further records that trace the parents or their whereabouts.
Similarly, post the 1851 census for Henry jnr. I have not been able to trace any of them.
Might theses names feature in your research, that maybe could direct me, to expand my data ?
Any info appreciated and gratefully received;
Thanks Brian

These names don't feature in my research, but this seemed an interesting challenge!
Being an interpreter, I imagine Henry was probably French (based on the name) so the spelling is going to vary wildly, making it very difficult to research.
However, Eliza Siverouse, now a widow, married William Metcalfe on December 18th 1850 in Hull, Yorkshire. Her father was William Blyth (deceased), a miller.
Also, for those who are looking, Henry is indexed under Swerause on Ancestry in 1851.

Thank you;
I was aware of the SWERAUSE transcription of Henry's name and that gave me the direction, previously, to check on looking for a Henry born about 1846. Hence I then found SAVEROUSE.
But as you point out it looks as if it could be a multi spelt name. I will have to try others. .
Your direction to the Hull wedding is promising, close to Winterton, but importantly the William BLYTH miller is a good omen. That was her father.
Once again thank you so much, I have to go a checking.
Regards Brian

Thank you all for the information.
I have to say I did not expect so much, in so short a timeframe.
I was completely overwhelmed and now I have to digest and interpret the facts.
Thank you all who responded.

You're welcome

The children of Celestius Henry with Rebecca Emmerton don;t seem to be quite so well set up
Amelia is out at work as a nurse maid aged 13
Charles when he marries is a carman. He describes his father Henry as a courier.
There's also an odd overlap between the various marriages if it is the same chap each time

Good luck with it all Brian :)

It has been a while since this subject was responded to, by so many of you, once again thank you.
By way of an update I recently conducted further research and can say that following on from Eliza's marriage to William METCLAFE I was able to trace Henry and his family up to quite recent times.
For their privacy I will omit to give any married surnames, but will indicate that one branch had the unfortunate troubles of a Germanic surname (through marriage) that had to be anglicized in the 1930's. That was a first for me, but quite interesting.
What, by a presumption, now, was most probably Eliza never did marry Henry SAVEROUSE's father.
