Bertha May Beadle was born Brighton Victoria 1911. Died Victoria 1968.
She married Ivan Vallance 1930. By mid-1930's she had left him an he was advertising for her whereabouts. She was living with William Percival Rodgers by 1943 in NSW. In 1950 she married him.
Apart from a few Electoral Roll records, the two of them are hard to track down.
My contact should descend from a child of Ivan and Bertha, but we suspect grew up thinking they were a child of William P Rodgers.
We would be particularly interested in her obituary or a grave record which we can not find on line.

Hi Garry,
I hope this is your Bertha! As she was cremated, it doesn't look like there is a grave site for her.

Any issue of the marriage?

We are waiting on a death certificate. If that fails, then an obituary for William, Ivan or Bertha may help.
Some authors on ancestry show 3 living so unnamed offspring.

FindMyPast has several index for Ivan petty session record set for Victoria. I can only get the index up. Was wondering what information is on them as to whether it would state he was married and how many kids etc.
This been the last one.

The mother of Bertha May BEADLE , Ina Bertha deserted her husband Albert George about 1914 and was divorced by him in 1919 having not been located since her departure. There had been other issue of the marriage including Rita Mary.
The chn were temporarily placed in care at Sutherland House.
The divorce proceedings are digitised at Ancestry.
Albert remarried in 1919 to Mary KNIGHT and hers is the name recorded on Bertha (RODGER's) 1968 death index. Obviously viewed as the mother, if not actually such.
Bertha was AKA May.
When the stepmother, Mary (nee KNIGHT) died, her death notice published in the Age 7th Jan 1965
states mother of Rita (Mrs FIELD) and Bertha (Mrs RODGERS).No others BEADLE chn mentioned.
It also lists "nana of ...." 3 names. One of the names, (male) is seen on the electoral Roll at the same address as Bertha and William RODGERS in 1967 in Vic.
When Rita (Mrs FIELD) died her death notice states....sister of May (Mrs RODGERS).....dearest Aunt of 4 names. No children of her own are mentioned.
I can link the death notices if of interest.
I cannot locate one for Berha RODGERS or Bill RODGERS.
BMD certificates in Victoria are available for immediate download upon digital payment. There is no waiting time.
