Hello,
I am trying to help a family member identify the people in these two images, both are of the Kelly family of South Shields in the 1800s, I am hoping perhaps that someone might perhaps narrow down the dates for us so we can identify the sitters? Apologies for the quality, unfortunately he does not have access to the original pictures just these photographs of them. Hoping someone might be able to help us.
Many thanks for reading, all the best for the week,
Dan

Do you have the backs to shows as there is information that will help us to date them. I think the second image is from the 1850s.

I agree with Carol about the date of the second photograph. the first one looks 1860s.

1st. one is 1870's. The Jabot is a bit of a giveaway.
Agree the 2nd. is 1850's/60's.

I took it as similar to this one, Jim

Thanks for the replies, I haven’t the backs, these are photos of the originals taken years ago, we are just trying to narrow down who in the family they might be, suggestions really help so thank you!

This is early 70's. Hairstyle is also the same.
Also the ear ring present which I thought was unusual in mine. Thanks everyone, this really helps.

Would anyone more intelligent than me be able to narrow down the ages of the sitters? The info you have kindly provided has narrowed both sitters down to two individuals, any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you so much for the help, all the best for the bank holiday weekend,
Dan

The first one maybe late teen to mid 20s.
